Bob here to share the BOBortunity of The Log Inn located in Haubstadt, Indiana!
A big and ducky thanks to Bill from Indiana for bringing this nostalgic eatery to our attention as his entry to win week 26 of the Get Your BOB On Contest!

This charming restaurant has a rootsy tale that stretches back to 1825.
I can only imagine how it may have looked when it was originally built as a stagecoach stop and trading post.

Having eventually transformed into a local dining spot, it is now recognized as the oldest restaurant in Indiana.
Can you believe that none other than Abraham Lincoln himself dined here?

Lincoln reportedly stopped by during his travels, adding an extra sprinkle of historical charm to this lovely establishment.
When it comes to dinner, family-style home cooking is the name of the game!
The Log Inn boasts a full menu but…..

Bill and his family always go for the family meal.
Sharing is Caring!
Picture a cozy atmosphere where diners his family members each choose their favourite proteins.
Succulent fried chicken, tender roast beef, or delectable ham.
Top it off with a heap of sides that evoke the warmth of Grandma’s kitchen!
Think creamy mashed potatoes, buttery corn, and fresh green beans.

And let’s not forget the pièce de résistance!

If you’ve got any room left after all that deliciousness, you absolutely must indulge in their homestyle desserts.
From rich German chocolate cake to classic apple pie.
My beak is watering.
The Log Inn isn’t just a place to eat; it’s where friends and families gather around the table to share laughter and create memories.
The rustic decor, accentuated with wooden beams and nostalgic memorabilia, really sets the stage for a down-home dining experience.

When waddling through Indiana, make sure to flap your wings and head on over to The Log Inn!

You will enjoy great food, friendly service and a heaping side of history,
A huge thanks again to Bill for this fantastic BOBortunity!
NEVER MISS A
