Today I am writing about my visit to Key West, Florida, where the sunshine is warm, the streets are colourful, and humans are having a blast!
One of the most memorable stops on my adventure is Willie T’s, a lively open-air bar on Duval Street.
Known for live music, cold drinks, and walls covered with signed dollar bills, Willie T’s is a popular gathering place for locals and visitors.
From the moment I arrived, guitars were strumming, glasses were clinking, and there was a hum from people swapping stories.
It is the kind of place where everyone seemed ready to relax, sing along, and enjoy Key West’s easygoing atmosphere.
Of course, I immediately noticed the dollar bills.

Visitors sign and decorate the bills before adding them to the collection.
What a colourful display of names, messages, and memories from around the world!
I settled into the lively scene, surrounded by tourists and locals.
I overheard chatter about fishing trips, sunset cruises, and the famous green flash that can sometimes appear just after the sun slips below the horizon.
Nearby, colourful tropical drinks added to the island mood.
The Rum Runner, traditionally made with rum, fruit flavours, and grenadine, looked especially festive.
Before I knew it, it was time to continue our Key West expedition.
One day, I hope to return to Willie T’s, enjoy more live music, and leave my own dollar-bill message among the thousands already decorating the bar.
Until then, I will remember the sunshine, the music, and the friendly crowd at Willie T’s.
