Bob the rubber duck here, reporting from my usual dashboard post.
I only wish Goldie were beside me to enjoy the winding roads and spectacular scenery of Northern Ontario.
A duck can dream!

My humans and I were travelling along Highway 17 from Winnipeg, Manitoba, to Ottawa, Ontario, when their stomachs began rumbling louder than the tires.

Then, like beacons for hungry travellers, signs for Stillwater Grill and Pizza appeared near Nipigon.
My humans turned around to investigate, and what a quacking-good decision that was!
From the moment we waddled through the door, the staff made us feel as welcome as rain in a desert.

The menu was filled with tempting choices, and my humans wasted no time diving in.
One ordered the homemade burger and fries, which looked absolutely delicious.

Another chose the fish and chips, featuring crisp fish tucked inside perfectly golden batter.
My mini human loves pizza, so naturally, he ordered a special BBQ chicken pizza.
It was delicious, but after sneaking so many fries from everyone else’s plates, he could not finish it.
Rookie mistake!
Most of the pizza joined us on our journey and became a tasty treat at our next hotel.

While we waited for the pizza, we played a lively game of foosball.

It was the perfect chance to stretch our wings and enjoy a little friendly competition after so many hours on the road.
A huge duck-wing salute goes to the staff. Their over-the-top friendliness turned a simple meal stop into a truly memorable experience.
Just when we thought our visit could not get any better, we spotted the soft-serve ice cream.
Of course, my humans could not resist ordering a couple of cones.
They were not disappointed with the creamy goodness!

Hats off, or wings up, to this wonderful highway oasis!
