    Tucked right on the shimmering shores of Sunrise Beach, Captain Ron’s is a gem and a must-visit for bikers, beach bums, and everyone in between.

    Did you know it was stop number 20 on the passport run during Bikefest 2025? Talk about a party!

    As I paddled in with the Support Bikers team, my little ducky tummy was rumbling.

    The delectable odour of smoking meat wafting through the air was fueling my hunger! But alas, our meal break is at the next stop.

    Upon entering Captain Ron’s, I was instantly enchanted by the vibrant, spirited atmosphere surrounding me.

    The décor instantly gets you smiling and connecting with your inner pirate.

    Did you know that Captain Ron’s opened its doors back in November 2006?

    Originally, it was just an old mobile home park from the ’60s that needed some serious love.

    After a year of fixing up, the decision was made to scrap it and start fresh.

    Three months later, the brand-new Captain Ron’s set sail, and it’s been cruising ever since!

    Since those early days, Captain Ron’s has expanded considerably.

    They now boast 700 feet of pristine beach,

    Two beach volleyball courts,

    A must-experience pirate bar – and so much more!

    Captain Ron’s truly embodies good vibes and great energy, making it the perfect spot to kick back, relax, and soak in the lively crowd.

    Then there is the menu packed with Pirate Fare!

    Black Angus Beef Ribeye with Shrimp,

    Juicy Bacon Jam Burger,

    Salad paired with Protein

    And let’s not overlook the fabulous cocktails.

    Captain Ron’s Bar and Grill – a community hub filled with laughter, friendships, and good times.

    Stop number 19 on our passport run with the fabulous Support Bikers crew, and wow, what a ride it was!

    Versailles Ministry House is like the perfect blend of faith and freedom!

    VMH lives its mantra of loving Jesus, providing guidance and support to motorcycle enthusiasts, and serving the community by caring for those in need or who have lost their way.

    Their vision is for everyone – motorcycle club members, enthusiasts, and the entire community – to find comfort, forgiveness of sin, and, of course, the promise of eternal life through Jesus Christ.

    Talk about a noble mission!

    The Versailles Ministry House isn’t just a pit stop; it’s a vibrant community hub with a heart of gold.

    It’s all about community, connection, and finding hope and healing through faith.

    Whether you’re in need of assistance, looking for a friendly face, or wanting to lend a hand, this place welcomes everyone with open wings!

    Let’s dive into the events!

    The Ministry House hosts a smorgasbord of weekly gatherings, like Bible studies and community meals.

    Good food, uplifting conversations, and new friendships blossoming over steaming plates, what’s not to love?

    Plus, they whip up some epic annual events: food drives, holiday celebrations, and even bike blessing ceremonies. It’s like a carnival of connection, all wrapped up in love and unity!

    And oh my feathers, the place itself is a biker’s paradise! It’s got everything we riders need.

    There’s a dedicated spot for bike maintenance, decked out with tools and equipment to get your ride purring like a duckling.

    When you start feeling the hunger pangs, relax in their cozy dining area, where you can chow down and swap stories with fellow bikers and friendly locals.

    And for those moments when you just want to chill, there’s a pool table where you can challenge your buddies to a friendly game!

    It’s where riders and locals come together to celebrate generosity, support, and the joy of friendship.

    The warm, inviting atmosphere and the dedicated volunteers make the Versailles Ministry House a true gem nestled in the heart of Versailles.

    The ultimate hidden gem on the shores of the stunning Lake of the Ozarks – Tap and Grill Lakeside Brew Haus in Gravois Mills, Missouri.

    As part of the fabulous Support Bikers Crew, we rolled in with our sights set on snagging that all-important stamp before cruising on to the final six stops of our epic journey.

    Nothing could stop this determined little duck from accomplishing our mission!

    The lively spirit of the Brew Haus wrapped around me like a cozy blanket. It’s the kind of place that welcomes families and bikers alike with open flippers!

    Perched right by the lakeside, Tap and Grill treats visitors to breathtaking views that made my rubber duck heart flutter.

    I imagined floating there, soaking up the scenery while enjoying the gentle breeze.

    With a spacious deck and inviting indoor and outdoor seating, it’s the ideal spot to unwind as boats glide by.

    If only I had more time to bask in this beautiful atmosphere!

    The Brew Haus has a fascinating history, born from dreams to create a community haven. It is a place where fantastic food and locally crafted brews would thrive.

    And thrive it does!

    The energy buzzes with camaraderie and joy, making it feel like home for everyone who walks through the doors.

    Now let’s talk about the mouthwatering menu!

    Although time constraints kept me from indulging in their delights, my flippers couldn’t help but drool over the highlights.

    Tantalizing burgers that could satisfy the biggest appetites,

    fresh salads bursting with local produce,

    and those famous wings that promise a flavour explosion with every bite!

    Plus, the elegant dining options – think seafood and steak – had my companions’ mouths watering!

    What truly sets Tap and Grill apart in the Lake of the Ozarks is its laid-back vibe, commitment to quality, and that undeniable community spirit.

    It’s a lively hub where memories are made, laughter echoes, and delicious food brings people together. A gathering spot that feels familiar and cherished.

    As the Support Bikers Crew gathered to stamp our passports, I felt a little twinge of sadness. I thought about having to leave this slice of paradise so soon.

    I’ll be back, perhaps to chill lakeside with a spicy wing in one flipper and a frosty brew in the other!

    This is a bustling beehive of friendship, community spirit, and some seriously heartwarming history.

    The Zack Wheat Post 624 honors the brave souls who’ve served our country.

    It is a haven for veterans to gather, support one another, and keep the spirit of patriotism alive and kicking!

    They ensure that the incredible sacrifices of our heroes are always remembered and celebrated.

    If you’ve donned a uniform and served honorably in the U.S. Armed Forces, you’re invited with open arms to join this fantastic crew!

    It’s a tight-knit family engaging in community activities and creating friendships that go way beyond the call of duty!

    Let’s dive into the excitement of community events at Zack Wheat Post!

    From potluck dinners to bingo nights, and festive holiday celebrations, the activities are endless!

    Don’t even get me started on their seasonal fish fry events. You enjoy mouthwatering hand-breaded fish while swapping stories with fellow adventurers. What could be better?

    Then there are the annual parades and memorial services!

    Honouring local veterans during essential events like Memorial Day and Veterans Day.

    Our heroes sacrifices never slip through the cracks.

    Bringing the community together in remembrance while having a quack-tastic time!

    Their chapter of American Legion Riders is a cherished sponsor of Lake of the Ozarks Bikefest.

    Let’s rev those engines and talk about the American Legion Riders!

    This fabulous crew is a group of American Legion members who happen to love motorcycles.

    They’re always out there, participating in parades, motorcycle events, and making an impact in their communities.

    Being part of this family-oriented group means you’re constantly surrounded by like-minded pals who are committed to making a difference!

    The Zack Wheat Post 624 has a deep-seated connection to American history and patriotism. It bears the name of a beloved local hero.

    This stop was none other than Franky and Louie’s Beachfront Bar and Grill in Sunrise Beach, Missouri.

    And let me tell you, this place is as delightful as a day at the beach!

    Franky and Louie’s is a beachfront oasis, which made it a truly special experience!

    Picture this: ducky feet sinking into the warm sand, the gentle lapping of the waves, and a vibrant beach ambiance that instantly lifts your spirits.

    As we strolled in, I could feel the sunny vibes wrapping around us like a cozy beach towel.

    A neon sign inside proudly boasts that this is the “Key West of the Midwest,” and I couldn’t agree more!

    The pastel colours decorating the venue instantly transport you to a tropical paradise, with smiles and laughter filling the air.

    It was like being in the middle of a beach party, where everyone was soaking up fun and good times!

    Even though we were on a mission to collect our passport stamp with eight more stops to go, I couldn’t help but feel the allure of this beautiful locale.

    If only we had time to relax on the sand with a frosty beverage and a delicious meal!

    The tempting scents wafting from the kitchen were mouthwatering, making it hard to resist.

    Families, friends, and fellow bikers were enjoying their time, sharing smiles and stories under the sun, making it clear that Franky and Louie’s is a beloved spot in Sunrise Beach.

    While I didn’t get to taste their offerings, I could tell this beachside gem is packed with delicious treats perfect for any beachgoer.

    Franky and Louie’s Beachfront Bar and Grill is a fantastic addition to my rubber duck adventure at Bikefest 2025.

    As we prepared to hop back on our bikes and scoot off to our next destination, I felt a twinge of longing to stay longer in this slice of paradise.

    I made a mental note to return one day for a relaxing beach day filled with tasty treats and good company.

    Though I didn’t indulge this time, I definitely soaked up the vibrant atmosphere and beachy vibe, leaving me excited for what lies ahead on this incredible journey!

    The fabulous Paradise Restaurant and Bar in Sunrise Beach, Missouri!

    As part of the Support Bikers crew, led brilliantly by Sonny and Angie Badger, my humans and I paddled our way into the unforgettable ambiance of Paradise.

    We could not spend much time there with our lofty mission to complete our passport run. We had nine more stops to go!

    The moment we floated inside Paradise, I was greeted by an electric atmosphere buzzing with fun!

    The restaurant was as lively as a pool party in July. It was filled with laughter, cheerful chatter, and the clinking of glasses as patrons enjoyed their time.

    Oh, how I wished I could join in the revelry! All those smiling faces were a sight to behold.

    Let me tell you about the views!

    Paradise boasts some of the best lakefront seating around. It gives lake lovers a front-row seat to the stunning sunsets and shimmering waters.

    The combination of great company, breezy vibes, and beautiful scenery made it easy to imagine how fabulous it would be. One could kick back with a drink and enjoy the ambiance.

    Though we didn’t have time to indulge in the delicious menu, everything that wafted past my beak smelled delightful and enticing!

    Not even a sip of those interesting cocktails! One of my humans couldn’t make the trip, but she loves the specialty house cocktails. So, I gathered photos to pique her palate!

    Those tasty treats were calling my name!

    I made a mental note to return, perhaps during a friendly sunset soirée with a tasty appy or two.

    Everywhere I looked, patrons were enjoying the lively vibe, making it clear that Paradise is a cherished hotspot in Sunrise Beach.

    It’s the kind of place where families and friends gather, and the energy is contagious!

    From chatting with fellow bikers to soaking in the views of the lake, it was the perfect pit stop. Even for a little rubber duck like me.

    As we prepared to hop back on our bikes and glide to the next stop, I felt a twinge of regret for having to leave Paradise so soon.

    Paradise Restaurant and Bar is an excellent addition to my rubber duck journey at Bikefest 2025.

    I might not have tasted the delights, but I sure soaked up the fun and vibrant atmosphere. 

    I left excited about what lies ahead in this fantastic adventure!

    I had the fantastic opportunity to dive into Neon Taco as stop number 14 on the Passport Run during the thrilling Lake of the Ozarks Bikefest 2025. 

    We were travelling with several other members of the Support Bikers crew on a mission to collect our passport stamps. The Neon Taco was not our lunch or dinner stop for the day.  However, it was an experience I won’t soon forget!

    Picture a vibrant taco paradise right by the shimmering lake, bursting with energy!

    Neon Taco isn’t just an eatery; it’s a lively party spot where every corner shimmers with colourful décor and dazzling neon lights.

    Nestled above the glistening waters of the legendary Bagnell Dam Strip, this place practically screams Celebrate!

    Neon Taco exudes a vibrant, fun atmosphere paired with aromas that would suggest mouthwatering cuisine.

    This colourful taqueria serves up expertly prepared tacos, supporting its reputation as the best Mexican cuisine on the lake!

    The menu is an explosion of colours and tastes.

    Each taco is crafted with fresh ingredients and bold flavours, making every bite a true celebration of Mexican cuisine.

    From classic street-style options to unique and innovative creations

    No one leaves Neon Taco without a satisfied belly and a smile worthy of a quack!

    I could see fellow bikers and multi-generational patrons enjoying their delicious choices, all with grins as big as mine!

    The atmosphere was electric: filled with joyful laughter, spirited cheers, and the irresistible aroma of fresh tacos.

    The owners have truly created something special, fostering a welcoming, vibrant locale for locals and visitors alike.

    With such bright decorations and an exhilarating atmosphere, it’s no wonder Neon Taco has become a beloved fixture in the Lake Ozark community, especially among my biker pals!

    As I floated away from Neon Taco, a wave of excitement swept over me for future visits.

    With its delightful atmosphere, mouthwatering menu, and unbeatable community spirit, there’s no doubt my next taco adventure will be even more fabulous at Bikefest 2026!

    Nestled in the gorgeous Lake of the Ozarks, this place is a total gem for bikers and non-bikers alike!

    Established way back in 1976, The Leather Man is a family-run wonderland that’s been keeping the spirit of individuality alive for decades.

    Imagine a treasure trove of high-quality leather goods!

    When you waddle inside, you’re greeted by racks and racks of fabulous leather jackets, vests, and pants that cater to all kinds of styles.

    Whether you’re a hardcore biker or just someone who wants to strut their stuff in some chic leather gear.

    I mean, who wouldn’t want to look great while quacking through life?!

    The atmosphere is warm and inviting – perfect for browsing at your own pace.

    And don’t you worry, the staff here are like the leather whisperers!

    They helped me find my cool with the perfect leather vest!

    From a rugged jacket for your next road trip to a sleek wallet – you will feel and look like a million bucks after a visit to The Leather Man.

    And let’s not forget all the fabulous goodies besides leather clothing!

    They’ve got everything from bags to wallets – it’s like candy for the eyes, but way cooler.

    Participating in Bike Fest 2025 really highlighted The Leather Man’s spirit of community.

    Riders and landlubbers alike came together to celebrate quality leather and good company!

    The Horny Toad Entertainment Complex in Lake Ozark, Missouri, is an absolute gem that perfectly captures the vibrant spirit of Bike Fest!

    As stop 12 on our Passport Run during the 2025 festivities, it provided a lively backdrop for our group, led by the ever-enthusiastic Badgers from Support Bikers.

    Upon arrival, the energy was infectious!

    The Horny Toad is renowned for its laid-back atmosphere.

    You could see that it was the perfect spot for bikers and enthusiasts to unwind during a day of cruising.

    With fun decor and an inviting vibe, it felt like a home away from home.

    The Horny Toad Entertainment Complex originated as a waterfront bar.

    Today it is a multifaceted venue that includes H. Toad’s Bar & Grill, Toad Island restaurant, stage entertainment, yacht club, marina,

    Camden on the Lake Resort and Spa – the list goes on.

    One of the highlights was definitely the chance to connect with familiar faces and make new friends.

    The camaraderie in the air was palpable: everyone was united by their love for riding and the thrill of the festival.

    Capturing the moment, we eagerly gathered our stamps, marking yet another spot on our epic journey.

    The complex and its surrounding booths buzzed with laughter and camaraderie as fellow riders gathered.

    It was hard not to get swept up in the good times and stick around for the day.

    But the road beckoned, and we answered the call.

    As we wrapped up our visit, the charm of the Horny Toad left a lasting impression.

    With its perfect blend of entertainment, community spirit, and Bike Fest excitement,

    It’s easy to see why this spot is a must-visit for anyone attending.

    We left with smiles on our faces and already talked about making another stop next year. Who knows what fun awaits at the Horny Toad!

    Bob, reporting from the lively shores of Lake Ozark! Today, I’m bubbling over with excitement to share all about our delightful 11th stop of the Passport Run at Shady Gators during the legendary Lake of the Ozarks Bike Fest 2025.

    Buckle up, or in my case, buckle down, because this was our 11th stop, and wow, what a splash it made!

    Right as we waddled through the doors, we were greeted with a wave of warmth and friendliness that would make even the grumpiest gator smile!

    The staff welcomed us with beaming smiles, making us feel as cozy as a duck nestled in a warm pond.

    After snagging our passport stamp we settled in for a feast that would make any duck’s beak water!

    My human dove into a vibrant garden salad topped with succulent grilled shrimp, bursting with flavour that danced on the taste buds like a happy little duckling in the sun.

    Meanwhile, another companion went for the epic Philly sandwich, paired with a side of crispy tater tots that looked simply irresistible.

    Every bite seemed to echo joyful quacks around the table, and I knew we were all experiencing something special.

    But what’s Shady Gators without a sprinkle of history?

    This hidden gem has been a local treasure for over 18 years, with an atmosphere so lively, it feels like the place has its own heartbeat!

    Located near the shimmering waters, this spot embodies the spirit of community, creatively weaving local flavours into a menu boasting over 100 tasty items.

    This is the kind of place where friends and families gather to create unforgettable memories, just the vibe we needed amidst our epic bike rally!

    And hold on to your floaties because Shady Gators isn’t just about delicious grub!

    They also offer private events, boat rentals, and even luxurious yacht charters for those wanting to cruise the lake in style. Talk about living the dream!

    So whether you’re a local quacker or just visiting, I can’t recommend Shady Gators enough.

    It’s not just a meal; it’s a joyous experience, one that has filled my rubber heart with warmth and laughter.

    The Encore Lakeside Grill & Sky Bar – Lake Ozark, Missouri

    My human and I recently had the pleasure of visiting The Encore. We were there to collect our 10th stamp during the Passport Run at Lake of the Ozarks Bikefest 2025.

    It was nothing short of impressive!

    The story of The Encore is one of ambition and creativity, sparked by the vision of owners Merlyn and Dawn Vandervort.

    Nestled alongside the sparkling waters of Lake Ozark, The Encore Lakeside Grill & Sky Bar has carved out a reputation as a premier entertainment destination in Missouri.

    Since opening its doors in November 2021, this 50,000-square-foot mega complex has transformed into a vibrant hub of dining and entertainment. Imagine multiple bars, a lakeside amphitheatre, and three thrilling entertainment stages!

    It’s a place where casual hangouts seamlessly turn into unforgettable celebrations, and I was thrilled to be a part of it!

    As I floated by, the atmosphere was electric! Laughter and cheers filled the air as visitors sipped on cocktails at the rooftop Sky Bar, soaking in the fabulous views.

    And oh, the menu!

    While we didn’t get to taste it ourselves, we could sense the culinary magic wafting through the air. It ranged from comfort food that warms the soul to exquisite fine dining tempting every palate. With its flexibility in hosting weddings and special events, The Encore is truly a gem for any occasion.

    One thing that really stood out during my short visit was the incredible staff.

    They were bustling around with enthusiasm, obviously proud of the exceptional service they provided.

    Although I didn’t get to bask by the adult-only lakeside pool or enjoy the swim-up bar.

    A rubber duck can dream!

    The dedication of the team was palpable. It made us feel special even though we were only collecting a stamp.

    Over the years, The Encore has proudly played a role in the Lake of the Ozarks Bikefest, welcoming bikers and entertainers with open flippers!

    Fun fact: the owners helped kick off the Bikefest back in 2007! Can you imagine how great it must feel to bring a vision to life?

    Here I am, 18 years later, floating along the sidelines of all the roaring excitement as over 150,000 bikes descend upon the area! Talk about a party!

    The Encore is like the heartbeat of Bikefest, serving as both a passport stop and a lively vendor village.

    Picture this: incredible concerts and jaw-dropping motorcycle stunt shows featuring the daring Globe of Death riders! Just imagining those brave souls zipping around in that giant ball made my little rubber heart race!

    And let’s not forget the Cycle Showcase, a stunning custom motorcycle museum right there in the Event Center. Oh, the gleaming machines I admired as I drifted on by!

    With its lively atmosphere, scrumptious menu, and top-tier entertainment, it’s no surprise that The Encore Lakeside Grill & Sky Bar stands out in the Lake Ozark area.

    As I took my leave, I couldn’t shake the feeling of wanting to return to explore every nook and cranny of The Encore.

    Next time, I’ll be sure to plan for a longer stay. I can imagine all the delightful adventures waiting for me at this fantastic venue!

    You see, all my humans were looking to collect the stamp from Location number 9 on the Passport Run.  Backwater Jack’s had eager stampers at a table in the parking lot, saving us the trek down to explore.

    Shorty Pants Lakeside was not our planned lunch stop, but we couldn’t resist stopping for a moment to savour the view and appreciate the ambiance.

    As soon as my human and I hopped off Goldie, the warm smiles of the enthusiastic staff greeted us. It felt like I was being welcomed into an aquatic paradise!

    With my little duck feet barely touching the ground, we lined up to collect our second passport stamp, a little piece of adventure history, if you ask me!

    What a vibrant atmosphere!

    Gorgeous lakeside views that would make even the most seasoned duckling’s heart flutter!

    My human’s eyes lit up at the menu bursting with Cajun flavours.

    Almost as if we had been magically transported to the culinary heart of New Orleans… but here in Missouri! I could practically taste the deliciousness in the air, and I have to say, my human is definitely returning to dive into those mouthwatering dishes!

    From zesty tacos that tickle your taste buds to a mouthwatering ribeye that could make anyone’s day, this place is a culinary paradise just waiting to be explored.

    But here’s the cherry on top, a swim-up bar!

    That’s right, folks! I’ve seen my fair share of vacation resorts. However, having a swim-up bar right here at the Redhead Lakeside Grill on Lake of the Ozarks?

    Now that’s what I call a splash-tastic way to quench your thirst while enjoying the sunshine!

    But wait, there’s more! The Redhead group isn’t just about grilling up delicious meals.

    Imagine a marina that hosts speedboat champions. There’s also a fancy yacht club that would make any nautical enthusiast swoon.     I was in town for the 19th Annual Lake of the Ozarks Bikefest. This charming shop was destination number 1 for the Passport Run!

    As soon as we waddled through the door, the friendly staff greeted us like old pals.

    They were positively bubbling with enthusiasm. They helped everyone stamp their passports while making sure we could get back on our adventure without a hitch.

    My human?

    Oh boy, his eyes lit up the moment he laid eyes on the extraordinary array of local treats!

    Imagine a treasure chest filled with over 150 kinds of ooey-gooey Wisconsin cheeses, tantalizing local wines, delightful moonshines, and all sorts of scrumptious goodies!

    Just thinking about the sampling made my little rubber wings flutter with excitement!

    Did I mention that you can taste almost everything in the store?

    Talk about a quack-tastic experience!

    And yes, you can sip a refreshing beverage while you browse. What could be better?

    Unfortunately, our bikefest itinerary meant my human couldn’t spend as much time soaking in all the cheesy delights as I would have liked.

    But trust me, from what I could see, the selection was out-of-this-world. They had sampling stations that would make any foodie’s heart race!

    I could almost hear the flavours of the Ozarks singing to us: each sample a delightful melody of taste!

    And guess what? Harmy’s Cheese & More had a lovely covered area. It was perfect for kicking back with a drink in hand and soaking up the vibrant atmosphere. It’s the ideal spot for cheese lovers and anyone looking to unwind after a day full of biking fun!

    While our visit was shorter than I had hoped, I left with a buoyant quack of happiness. I also had a promise to return someday for more cheesy goodness.

    These two legends wrangled together a fabulous lakefront Airbnb in Osage Beach, perfect for a biker crew of 15. At first, I felt a bit like a fish out of water. What would I do in such a bustling house?

    But soon enough, I realized that sharing space with this vibrant pack was the key to experiencing the true after-party of a rally.

    What could be better than a peaceful corner of the Ozarks with a stunning view of the shimmering lake, where the sunrises are so breathtaking they’ll make your heart sing!

    After a day zooming through twisting roads, the bikers rode right back to our little paradise, ready to bask in the afterglow of the sun, splash in the pool, and swap stories that would become legends.

    Oh, how I loved floating around, soaking up the good vibes while the humans chattered away about their wild rides and close calls!

    Let me tell you, the space was perfect!

    Multiple bedrooms and a massive living area meant there was plenty of room for the bikers to spread out.

    The laughter echoed through the halls. I felt like the lucky mascot of this incredible crew!

    I quacked in delight as they shared their escapades, from tight corners to hilarious misadventures, living vicariously through their tales.

    And then there was the pool… oh, the pool! What a splashtastic oasis!

    After hours on their bikes, the humans lounged by or in the water, while I bobbed around in my little corner like a king. The sun kissed my rubbery surface, and the laughter bounced off the water like gentle waves. Pure joy radiated all around us!

    As twilight crawled in, our band of bikers gathered around the dining table, diving into delicious take-out pizza and some crispy chicken (my human’s favourite).

    With bikes parked safely for the night, the camaraderie soared to new heights; hearty laughs and stories turned into the bonds of family.

    Some bikers spent time polishing their rides or doing little fixes, while others caught up on work stuff or chatted with loved ones who couldn’t join the rally.

    Bob here, ready to paddle through some delicious tales from my recent adventure at Arris’ Pizza Palace in Jefferson City, Missouri! The Badgers from Support Bikers suggested this charming pizza haven as the perfect lunch stop before we revved our engines to Lake of the Ozarks for Bikefest 2025. And oh boy, did this place have a story to tell!

    Let’s take a little quack down memory lane, shall we?

    Arris’ Pizza Palace has been a beloved gem in Jefferson City since 1961—a time when pizza was as rare as a rubber duck out of the bathtub!

    Families were on the hunt for cozy spots to gather and share good food and laughter, and that’s where our Arris Pardalos swoops in!

    Born in 1935 near Mount Olympus in Greece, Arris was a pizza wizard bursting with scrumptious recipes and a welcoming spirit.

    He dreamed of finding a community that would embrace his vision and provide a great community in which to raise his family.  What better place than Jefferson City?

    He set up shop in a quaint little building at 117 West High Street, just a hop from the old movie theatre and down the street from the Capitol building.

    While that theatre has since become a parking lot, the memories of folks munching on hot pizza after a show still flutter in the air like a gentle breeze.

    Fast forward a few decades, and Arris’ Pizza Palace has expanded to three buildings, seating a whopping 200 eager diners!

    The capacity is not the only thing that has expanded over the years…take a look at the menu transformation from 1961 to today!

    Now, let’s swim right into that main attraction: the food!

    The buffet was a sight to behold! It is a treasure trove of crispy, cheesy pizzas, fresh salads as vibrant as a summer garden, and sides that dance with flavour.

    My human waddled his way through endless choices until he could barely waddle out to his bike.

    There was no room left for dessert!

    The icing on the cake for our visit was the incredible staff!

    Their smiles were brighter than a sunny day, and their service was quicker than a duck on a pond! Each time they glided over to our table, it felt like being surrounded by friends, turning our meal into a joyous celebration. I couldn’t help but float with delight!

    Even though the building, decor and menu have modernized, Arris’ has maintained the quality and ambiance, leading to its ongoing success!

It was an opportunity for a little refreshment, and boy, did it hit the spot!

    Back in 1934, a visionary fellow named Gus Belt decided to sprinkle some magic into the world of fast food by opening the very first Steak ‘n Shake in Normal, Illinois. Picture this: a cozy joint where quick service met the warm charm of a sit-down meal! Gus’s mission was clear: to serve up the best steakburgers and milkshakes known to duckkind!

    By the late 1950s, Steak ‘n Shake was like a bird taking flight, expanding its franchises all across the U.S. And they didn’t just wing it—they became iconic for their “Steakburgers” made from whole cuts of beef, crafted right in front of thrilled customers.

    Those fresh, whipped milkshakes? Pure magic! I wish I could have floated around in those frosty mixers, watching the creamy concoctions come to life!
