Hey there, fantastic friends! It’s BOB, your ever-enthusiastic rubber ducky, ready to take you on a ride aboard the Peel Ferry, a hidden gem I had the pleasure of riding during Badger Bash 2025!
Now, let me tell you a little about the Peel Ferry. Did you know it’s the last public ferryboat cruising the shimmering waters of Arkansas? Yep, that’s right! It gracefully glides over the breathtaking Bull Shoals Lake, a sight that even the most seasoned bubble-blowers would stop to admire. Think of it as a bridge, only way more fun because you get to ride the waves!

Our enthusiasm was bubbling as we pulled up to the boarding area with all the bikes revving their engines.

Once everyone was nestled onboard, the engines were quieted and the sounds of nature filled the air.

As we set sail on our journey from Peel, Arkansas, to Protem, Missouri, we were in for a treat. The gentle hum of the barge parting the water, a playful breeze ruffling my feathers, and the stunning scenery that looks like a nature postcard! With rolling hills draped in lush forests on either side, it’s not just a ferry ride; it’s a harmonious escape into tranquillity.

Keep your eyes peeled, you might even spot some cheeky critters peeking out from the foliage—nature’s very own show!

The Peel Ferry has been an essential lifeline for the community, connecting folks and fables alike. It’s a true testament to enduring journeys and the camaraderie of the local people.

And for all you water lovers out there, Bull Shoals Lake is practically a treasure trove! With nearly 1,000 miles of rugged shoreline, it’s bursting with activities!
Whether you’re casting a line for your next trophy fish, enjoying a picturesque picnic by the water, or simply relaxing in the splendour of it all, there’s something for everyone. Plus, don’t miss the nearby White River, a hotspot for fishing enthusiasts and adventurers seeking scenic views!

So what’s the ultimate takeaway from my quacktastic journey?
A ride on the Peel Ferry is an absolute must-do!

It’s not just about crossing the water; it’s about soaking in the spectacular sights and sounds of Bull Shoals Lake.

Who knew that the Badger Bash would include a ride across the water?!?
Another fantastic day with Sonny and Angie!
