Bob here to share my excitement about the amazing world of S&S Moto Events, run by the fabulous duo of Kari-Ann and Michelle.
These two ladies have hearts as big as the Manitoba sky, fueled by their passion for riding and their mission to build a vibrant biker community.
Some folks sit back and daydream about what they wish to see; others, like Kari-Ann and Michelle, dive right in and bring those dreams to life!
Their untiring energy is contagious, and it brings bikers from all over Manitoba together as a close-knit family.
With their three-pronged mission…
Ride Together, Give Back, Make Memories
…they’re on a roll!
They support fundraisers, plan exhilarating weekend rides, promote special events, and host monthly gatherings where bikers forge friendships and share stories.
I flapped my little wings with excitement when I got to attend the latest Throttle Thursday!
These biking community get-togethers, held on the third Thursday of every month, aim to spotlight local eateries beyond the city limits.
The first Throttle Thursday at Skinners in Lockport included about 12-15 participants who gathered at this Manitoba icon.
My humans have made that ride down River Road many times, stopping at Skinners for one of their famous hot dogs.
My humans couldn’t attend this event; however, they are sure everyone enjoyed both the food and the company.
Then there was the S&S Moto Event descending upon Duke’s Burgers in Niverville on July 16th.
The attendees more than doubled to about 27 bikes; talk about a flock of fabulous riders hitting the road!
Sadly, my humans missed that ride too, but oh, the chatter about the tasty grub makes my beak water!
Fast forward to the most recent Throttle Thursday on August 27 at Cedar and Main, and guess what?
My humans finally made it! Well, for a short splash, anyway.
Just long enough for me to see the camaraderie bubbling among the riders.
Everyone was chatting about their adventures and catching up on summer fun, over some scrumptious bites from Cedar and Main, of course!
Amid all the excitement was the fabulous S&S team, making sure everyone parked their shiny rides safely, welcoming everyone, and checking in to make sure they were having a splashing good time.
It warmed my little rubber heart to see how dedicated these ladies were to making the biking community feel at home.
As we left, I counted at least 39 bikes gathered, and I saw even more as we rode away!
