Bob here, ready to share my delightful adventure at the charming Magnolia Soup Company in Sturgis, South Dakota!
We were passing through Sturgis on our way back from Arizona.
With the infamous motorcycle rally months away, the town was blissfully quiet, making it a perfect time to explore all the hidden gems Sturgis has to offer.
Our fabulous friend Rhonda decided to treat us to dinner, and boy, did she pick a winner!
Now, you might think a place called Magnolia Soup Company would be about soup, but hold onto your feathers because they have a whole lot more to offer!
The menu is bursting with delicious options, everything from hearty soups and fresh salads to tantalizing rice bowls and mouthwatering sandwiches.
And, of course, there is a never-ending selection of daily specials on the menu.
Talk about a feast for the senses!
As we settled in, I was pleasantly surprised to find a vibrant retail space in the restaurant, showcasing a variety of unique grocery items.
There’s even a delightful selection of wines for those looking to add a little cheer to their meal.
It felt like a one-stop shop for anyone hungry for a taste of local flavour!
I had to admire the cozy atmosphere of the Magnolia Soup Company.
It was so inviting that it made us feel right at home.
With that delectable aroma wafting through the air, we knew we were in for a treat no matter what we chose from the menu.
Rhonda opted for a hearty bowl of the day’s special soup paired with a crisp, fresh garden salad.
One of my humans couldn’t resist a tempting meal in one of their famous bread bowls…delicious!
And my other human felt like trying one of their bowls on the menu, the Asian Rice Bowl.
Brimming with fresh vegetables over a bed of perfectly executed rice with a sauce that leaves your mouth watering for more!
Everything was not only delicious but made with love, exactly what you want after a long road trip!
What sticks out most in my memory is the sense of community at Magnolia Soup Company.
Our server was the friendliest lady, who used to own a local taco shop, so she certainly knew how to make us feel welcome.
Locals were chatting and laughing, creating a warm and welcoming vibe that made it feel like we were part of something special.
It reminded me that food always has this magical way of bringing people together, no matter where you are.
Do yourself a favour and swing by the Magnolia Soup Company whenever you are in Sturgis.
With their extensive menu, delightful retail offerings, and friendly atmosphere, it’s a spot you won’t want to miss.
