This week, our lucky winner in the GET YOUR BOB ON contest is none other than Don from Illinois who submitted A Pie Stop in Anchorage, Alaska!
Don had been dreaming for years of gliding along the Alaska Highway on his trusty Harley. Finally, in the summer of 2025, that dream came true!
While the whole trip was marvelous – oh, the tales he could tell – the BOBortunity he shared was his visit to A Pie Stop!
The moment Don waltzed into this charming bakery, he was greeted by a warm, sweet hug of freshly baked pie aromas!
A Pie Stop is the magical creation of a super duo: Steve and Alisa, a spirited grandfather-granddaughter pair who bake with love and passion.
Fun fact: Alisa started her baking journey at just four years old, talk about a prodigy in the kitchen!
With friendly smiles from the dynamite duo, Steve and Alisa, and a sprinkle of that magical “Alaskan Love” in every pie, it felt like a warm hug on a chilly day.

From mouthwatering fruit pies to savoury Cornish pasties, pot pies, quiches, and a rainbow of delectable sweets, every bite is a celebration!
Each pie is crafted from scratch using the freshest local ingredients.
Those Buttery and flaky crusts? Simply Divine!
When Don had his first taste of the seasonal berry pie, he couldn’t help but shout, “It’s like a burst of Alaskan summer in my mouth!”
I can practically hear those berries singing, they’re so fresh and fruity!
Don felt as though he had hit a jackpot of flavour at A Pie Stop so he returned a few times to indulge in a variety of options: Rhubarb, Blueberry, chicken, apple and even some delectable banana bread.
And can we talk about the motto? “Stress Does Not Exist In The Presence Of Pie” is a mantra I can definitely get behind!
As Don rode off into the sunset, he wished he could pack a few pies to bring back to Illinois.
After all, there is a 7,000-mile round trip from Illinois to Alaska, between him and the best pie he has ever tasted.
