Bob here, introducing you to the Hungry Pug Cafe in Kenora, a delightful detour from the highway!
As we made our journey east from Winnipeg to Ottawa, my little rubber heart couldn’t help but leap with excitement at the thought of a late breakfast at this adorable spot.

Upon entering, we were greeted by a colourful medley of dog-themed artwork adorning the walls.

The Hungry Pug Cafe is all about being pet-friendly! I felt right at home in this jovial atmosphere, complete with happy pups’ faces grinning down at us.
Now, let’s talk about the reason we stopped: FOOD!
One of my humans went all out with the chicken and waffles egg benedict.

Imagine perfectly poached eggs atop crispy fried chicken, all cozied up on fluffy waffles with a drizzle of hollandaise sauce.
The other human chose the classic BLT, served with a heaping pile of crispy fries that practically called my name.

That BLT was stacked high with fresh ingredients, making each bite a crunchy celebration of flavour.
And how could I forget the mini human?
He went for a magnificent serving of pancakes, so huge that I thought they might float away!

Topped with extra maple syrup, those pancakes were fluffy clouds of sweetness that brought smiles around the table.
The portions were gigantic!
We could have easily shared, but where’s the fun in that?
Everybody got their fill and then some; there’s nothing quite like a breakfast feast to start the day right!
Beyond the great food, the service was fantastic.
The staff was friendly, attentive, and seemed genuinely glad to see us.

We felt like part of the Hungry Pug family.

With every bite and chuckle, we knew we had found a hidden gem.

Whether you’re a human or a furry friend, The Hungry Pug is worth venturing off the highway.
Don’t forget your appetite!
