Bob here, sharing my quacktastic voyage on the legendary BC Ferry from Horseshoe Bay to Nanaimo!
We woke up at the crack of dawn, 4 am to be exact, springing into action like we were training for a race. We were not going to be late for the 6:15 am sailing.
As we rolled up to Horseshoe Bay, I felt a bubbly anticipation bubbling in my little rubber heart.
The crew on the BC Ferry greeted us with smiles that could light up the darkest ocean depths.
Everything flowed like the gentle waves we were about to sail upon.
On schedule and ready to go, so off we went.
Once we were out on the sapphire waters, oh boy!
The views were like stepping into a living postcard.
From the towering mountains looming majestically in the distance, to the skies so blue they could rival my own vibrant hues.
The shoreline was dressed in lush greenery, making me wonder what delightful secrets each tree was whispering.
Every splash of water against the ferry made me giggle with joy!
The fresh air piqued appetites so off to the the onboard café.
The delicious aromas wafting through the deck were downright irresistible.
My humans sprang for hearty snacks, and I floated ever closer, trying to sneak a peek at their mouthwatering goodies.
From crisp salads to warm, flaky pastries, my taste buds quacked with excitement just imagining the delightful flavours.
I could almost taste their joy!
Every human and even the travelling pets seemed to bask in this joyous atmosphere, and you bet I was quacking right alongside them!
As we approached Nanaimo, I could hardly contain my excitement for the next chapter of our adventure.
Our ferry ride was more than just a means to an end; it was a kaleidoscope of experiences filled with friendly faces, breathtaking views, and scrumptious treats.
In a nutshell, my BC Ferry experience from Horseshoe Bay to Nanaimo was an absolute quack-tacular success!
With a crew that operated like a dream, stunning scenery that made my heart flutter, and delicious food that made me bob with delight, this adventure was the perfect start to our Vancouver Island escapade!
