Waddle on over, friends! Let me share my recent adventure at Quaker Steak in Council Bluffs, Iowa, where I met up with Jared Joshua and his wonderful family.
The nostalgia of Quaker gas stations, fast cars, and shiny motorcycles fueled the vibrant energy in the air.
As we stepped inside, the ambiance was electric!
Filled with memorabilia that celebrated speed and adventure.
The walls exuded “high-octane fun” as I settled in for what would be an unforgettable feast.
To kick things off, we toasted with beverages that made my little duck heart flutter.
One of my friends enjoyed a Duck, Duck, Goose martini, delightfully garnished with a tiny rubber duck (which you know I absolutely adored!).
My other friend chose a cold, crisp beer that paired perfectly with his appetite.
Now, let’s dive into the food! We started with loaded potato skins piled high with delicious toppings: crispy bacon, gooey cheese, and a generous dollop of sour cream. Every bite left me quacking for more!
Next up was the Caesar salad, which was no ordinary salad. It was topped with flavorful garlic cheese croutons that sang in harmony with the creamy dressing.
My other human opted for the Philly cheese steak sandwich. It featured juicy beef, melted cheese, and sautéed peppers nestled inside a toasted hoagie. It was a clear hit, especially paired with crispy fries on the side.
As dinner came to a close, I couldn’t help but feel grateful for such an exhilarating dining experience.
