Today I’m just as excited to share one of the most fantastic places I’ve quacked about: The Big Apple in Colborne, Ontario!

A big splash of fun awaits you, thanks to Bobber Steve, who submitted The Big Apple for the Get Your Bob On Contest and won week 31!
This wonderful landmark is a must-visit, and I can’t wait to tell you why!

First off, let’s talk about this colossal apple, which opened in 1987 and is affectionately dubbed Mr. Applehead.
The Big Apple stands proudly at a whopping 40 feet tall and is almost as round.
If you were to try to fill it with apples, you would need about 650,000 apples to complete the task.

Located about midway between Kingston and Toronto, this attraction is an iconic landmark celebrating Ontario’s rich orchard heritage.

Bright red and glossy, this giant apple serves as the entrance to the country store and more.

Prepare your taste buds for a delicious apple-themed feast!
The smell of baked goods wafting through the air is simply irresistible.

Treat yourself to a slice of heavenly apple pie or sip refreshing apple cider while you soak up the farm-fresh atmosphere.

It’s as if the apples themselves are calling out for you to dive into a culinary adventure!

Steve says that the apple pies are the best in the world, which is likely why they sell at least 2000 pies a week.
Since opening, the team has sold over 8 million pies.
That’s a lot of pie!
This attraction isn’t just about the food; there’s a small museum tucked inside too!
You can explore antique farming equipment and learn about the fascinating history of apple cultivation in Ontario.
It’s a delightful journey through time that showcases the hard work and dedication of the farmers who have shaped this region.

But that’s not all! If you visit on a weekend, the outdoors is booming with activity.

Play with goats

Swing a club

Grab a bite

Pet farm friends
So, why should you gather your crew and visit The Big Apple?

I have to believe that the over 500,000 visitors a year can’t be wrong.

Thank you, Steve, for sharing this delicious BOBortunity!
