Bob here, quacking away with tales of my exciting escapades.
Today I’m bubbling over with excitement to tell you all about my fabulous friend, Bob the Bridge.
Bob resides in the heart of Omaha, Nebraska and Council Bluffs, Iowa!

Bob Kerry Pedestrian Bridge is affectionately known as BOB!

At 3,000 feet long and 15 feet wide, Bob is a stunning structure that looks as though it is gliding through the air!

His beautiful S-curved cable-stayed design connects Council Bluffs and Omaha’s stunning riverfronts.
“Bob” opened on September 28, 2008, thanks to the efforts of Nebraska Senator Bob Kerrey.
Mr. Kerrey secured the funding for this extraordinary project. Hence the moniker “BOB.”

Bob holds the distinction of being the first, and perhaps the only, pedestrian bridge to connect two states seamlessly!

Midway across the bridge, I stood with one foot in Nebraska and the other in Iowa!

It’s a unique experience that’s sure to leave you quacking with excitement!
Fun-seekers couples, families, cyclists, and joggers love to spend time crossing BOB. Every age group enjoys BOB!
Day and night, Bob exudes a majestic presence.

The breathtaking view of the Omaha skyline is a sight to behold!

Along the river trail in Omaha, you will be greeted by OMAR. BOB’s very own resident troll!
Omar the Troll is quite the celebrity, complete with storyline website, book, and fan page.

You will find OMAR under the bridge. Just look for the bright blue little man with hair piled high and a grin from ear to ear.

The next time you’re exploring the vibrant city of Omaha, be sure to add a stroll across Bob the Bridge to your itinerary!

The serene beauty of this magnificent structure is sure to awe you.
