I’m BOB—the rubber duck with a flair for adventure and a splash of fun! And this is BOB’s story.
Once upon a time, in the far-off land of mainland China, my life was pretty ordinary.
I was just a face in the crowd of bright rubber ducklings. My dream was to see the world beyond my cozy box. That day came in June 2019. Off I went to Canada as part of a huge toy order.
Little did I know, my destiny was about to take a wild turn!
My first stop in Canada was the vibrant port of Vancouver, BC. My duck buddies and I divided for distribution to toy stores across Canada.
The Destination – Winnipeg, Manitoba.
This was it! I envisioned a loving kiddo choosing me to be their friend. I dreamed of epic bath time adventures.
Instead, I chilled, collecting dust in a retail store, waiting for my moment to shine.
Days turned into weeks…
I became the silent observer of the toy world.
Kids would pick me up, squeeze me a little, and then ditch me for some squeaky, sound-making duck.
No quack, no luck, right?
A pandemic swept the world in 2020, when the lights turned out in the store, and suddenly, everything went dark—literally and figuratively!
With toys considered non-essential, my area of the store was closed for business.
Hold onto your hats because things are about to get exciting!
When the lights flickered back on, I saw familiar faces again. Oh No! Instead of finding a forever home, I was unceremoniously tossed into the “Clearance Bin.” The horror! The rumour is that Toys like me could be thrown away if they didn’t find a home fast.
But not this duck! I stuck my bright yellow self out from the crowd like a beacon of hope, and at last, two long years after I arrived.
I was chosen!
Bob’s story is one of resilience, my friends! A tale that proves no matter how tough the journey, there’s always a light at the end of the tunnel.
But wait! Instead of a cozy new home, I was whisked away to a Charity Auction, along with some candies and books.
I sat on a table, waving my little wings, hoping for someone to take notice.
Then, a tall guy named Rick ambled up. He was sporting a huge grin. “This little duck deserves some love!” he exclaimed, tossing tickets into my bag.
And just like that—I was off to my new life!
I couldn’t wait to meet Rick’s grandkids, but they had other ideas.
I was again perched on a shelf, watching as they played with their high-tech gadgets.
What gives? I thought I was meant to be their delightful playmate!
But one sunny day, everything changed.
As Rick headed out, he hesitated, turned around, grabbed me and headed out the door! I thought that was it. I was headed for the landfill.
My heart raced as he strapped me to the back of his shiny Goldwing motorcycle. What a wild ride that was! We pulled into a parking lot packed with motorcyclists. Laughter filled the air. I was officially part of something BIG—a surprise motorcycle parade for a lucky birthday guy! With engines roaring and horns blaring, I was having the time of my life!
And guess what? That was just the beginning of my new adventures.
Now, I’m not just a biker duck. I’m BOB—the adventurous rubber duck on the go!
A world filled with boundless opportunities and potential
I’ve soared high in the sky on planes, basked on boats, and splashed in the beautiful oceans of Costa Rica.
I’ve baked under the blistering sun in Death Valley
and even braved the snow in chilly Winterpeg.
Just when you thought I couldn’t get any wilder, I was BOBnapped in Missouri!
I was taken on a whirlwind adventure, partying like there was no tomorrow,
Toasting with a cool one
and laughing it up with my BOBnappers.

Each adventure has brought me immense joy and excitement. Moreover, I can’t wait to share these thrilling experiences with you!
